San Marcos CA— Detectives are investigating the shooting death of an adult male at 1325 Granite Road in the city of San Marcos.
On Sunday, November 30, 2014, at about 6:14 p.m., deputies received a radio call of an assault with a deadly weapon. When deputies and paramedics arrived they located an adult male inside the residence who had been shot to death. The victim and suspect are brothers.
The suspect, Fermin Olano (06/27/69), is the person who made the call to the Sheriff’s Department for assistance. Olano was taken into custody at the location without incident. A cause and manner of death will be determined by the Medical Examiner’s Office.

Santee Homicide Investigation
The San Diego County Sheriffs Homicide Investigators are also investigating the death of a homeless man, along a bike trail, in the 9300 block of Mission Gorge Road in Santee.
On Saturday afternoon, November 29, 2014, at about 5:19 p.m., deputies received a radio call of a fight on the bike trail under the State Route 52 highway.
When deputies and paramedics arrived they located a deceased male and another male who was also injured. Both victims, who are homeless, sustained blunt force injuries to their body. Five people,
including one juvenile, have been detained.
The victim of Saturday’s homicide investigation has been identified as Stephen Lee Hissom.
The following five individuals were arrested and booked into county jail for the murder Mr.Hissom:
- Cassidy Rowin (08/30/96)
- Sarah Baillie (09/06/96)
- Tyler Dare (10/25/95)
- Brian Kish (12/31/95)
- Danny Swan III (09/10/95)
One juvenile was also taken into custody and booked into Juvenile Hall for one count of murder.
