UPDATE: During the investigation, the Sheriffs’ Department learned through victim and witness statements that Webb had possibly intentionally set the victim on fire. The SDSO was actively searching for Webb when they received an anonymous tip that he was in a residence on Chamoune Avenue in the City of San Diego.
Members of the Fugitive Task Force along with the San Diego Police Department determined Webb was inside the residence and was refusing to come out. San Diego Police activated their SWAT team and after several hours, Webb surrendered and was taken into custody.
Webb was transported back to the Poway Sheriff’s Station for processing and questioning. He was then taken to the Central Jail where he was booked into custody. Webb is being charged with one count of attempted murder and one count of arson causing great bodily injury. His arraignment is scheduled for December 31, 2014 at 8:00 A.M. in Downtown San Diego.

Poway CA— On Sunday December 28, 2014 at about 5:09 a.m., deputies from the Poway Station received a radio call of a house fire in the 13800 block of Belvedere Dr. in Poway. Deputies received updates that a female resident was on fire and other residents were putting water on the victim.
All residents were evacuated and the victim was transported to the UCSD Burn Unit where she is being treated.
One resident, the victim’s boyfriend, left the house prior to the deputies arriving. The male suspect was located in a residence in the 3800 block of Chamoune Ave. in the City of San Diego.
He has barricaded himself in the residence and has refused to come out. San Diego Police Department’s SWAT team is assisting in the situation.
