San Marcos CA— The name of the tow truck driver who was struck and killed while changing a flat tire on SR-78 , Saturday, January 17, 2015 has been released by the San Diego County Coroner.
Jabar Issa was a married, 48-year-old, male who resided in El Cajon and worked for a tow company. He and a coworker were assisting a driver whose vehicle had a flat tire on the shoulder of eastbound SR-78. A Ford F250 truck was traveling eastbound in the number four lane when he veered into the shoulder and struck the back of the decedent’s flatbed tow truck. The Ford then struck the decedent, the other two trucks, and the other pedestrian.
A 9-1-1 call was placed and when paramedics arrived, the decedent’s death was confirmed without medical intervention.
