Oceanside CA— On Thursday, January 29, Caltrans and SANDAG will hold a public workshop from 5 – 8 p.m. at the Carlsbad Senior Center on proposed improvements to the Interstate 5/SR-78 Interchange. The informational workshop will offer an opportunity for the public to learn about the proposed project and to provide feedback on future project scenarios.
The project team is currently studying various interchange improvement options, and project team members are looking for input from the public and surrounding communities. Project team members will be present to discuss and answer questions.
Caltrans will initiate the formal environmental review process for the project later this spring. Caltrans anticipates the Draft Environmental Impact Report/Environmental Impact Study to be released in 2018.
