Oceanside CA— Last year, two community meetings and two steering committee meetings were held to solicit public input on the Coast Highway Corridor Study.
Much of the work completed to date has been focused on developing transportation corridor alternatives that reflect the needs of the community. Moreover, the current scope of work for the Coast Highway Corridor Study is in the process of being expanded to include a more detailed study of land use zoning, on-and off-street parking opportunities, and current development standards as recommended in the 2009 Coast Highway Vision and Strategic Plan.
The Coast Highway Corridor Study video has also been created to help the City communicate the importance of transforming Coast Highway from an auto-oriented thoroughfare into a “complete street” that serves all modes of transportation from automobiles to pedestrians to bicyclists and transit vehicles.
Please take a few moments to view this video (below) and feel free to share it with your friends and neighbors. If you have questions regarding the Coast Highway Corridor Study, please contact John Amberson at [email protected].
The next community meeting for the Coast Highway Corridor Study is scheduled for June 2015. Interested individuals can keep up to date on the project by visiting the project webpage at
