Oceanside CA— At approximately 11:00 pm on Wednesday March 4, 2015, a missing 8 year-old girl was escorted home by a nearby neighbor after a search for the child by Oceanside Police and San Diego County Sheriff’s ASTREA helicopter.
The adult female who returned the child to her home said the young girl had been at her home since 6:00 pm. The adult was unaware of any police activity in the area and stated she did not hear the helicopter or any of the PA announcements that were in the area. Neither foul play, nor suspicious circumstances appear to be a factor.
On Wednesday at about 6:15 pm, Officers from the Oceanside Police Department responded to the 1400 Block of Lemon St to investigate a reported missing 8 year-old female. The child was last seen in front of her home at 2:30 pm. When her mother was unable to locate her, she called to report her as missing.
