San Diego North County Easter Egg Hunt Locations, 2015- updated

Oceanside CA— Here is a list of Easter Egg Hunts in cities around San Diegos’ North County most are free, others have a small fee.

Oceanside Egg Hunts

Saturday April 4
Buddy Todd Park, Mesa Drive & Parnassus Circle —10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.; This is an annual Easter Egg Hunt for children ages 4 – 11. Sponsored by City of Oceanside, Neighborhood Services Department – Parks and Recreation.
Fireside Park—, Fireside Drive and Park Street— Festivities at Fireside begin around 10:00am. Egg hunt begins promptly at 11:00am; FREE Easter Egg Hunt for infants to 13 years of age. There will be a raffle and Easter basket give-aways. Sponsored by the City of Oceanside Neighborhood Services Dept. and the Family Fellowship Church.
Libby Lake Park—, 424 Calle Montecito— Festivities at Libby Lake begin around 10:00am. Egg hunt begins promptly at 11:00am; Egg Hunt for infants to 13 years of age. There will be a raffle and give-aways of Easter Baskets. Sponsored by Family Fellowship Church and City of Oceanside Neighborhood Services Dept.
Joe Balderrama Park, 709 San Diego St —9:30 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.; FREE Easter Egg Hunt! Bring your own basket and get ready to hunt for the “Golden Eggs” worth special prizes! Ages 1 to 12 years of age. Sponsored by the City of Oceanside Neighborhood Services Dept. and Eastside Neighborhood Association.

Carlsbad Egg Hunts

EGGstravaganza Spring Festival and Egg Hunt

Saturday April 4
Poinsettia Community Park, 6600 Hidden Valley Rd. 10:00am-1:00pm
Come celebrate spring with music, fun games, arts and crafts and a Fun Zone with bounce houses, a giant slide, obstacle courses and a chance to “soak the bunny.” Collect eggs in the ongoing “egg scramble” activity. Children race to collect assorted eggs on the baseball fields. This activity sends groups of approximately 20 children of similar age into the out field to collect as many eggs as they can.
There will also be samplings from the Parks & Recreation Summer Camps program. Instructors will be onsite to perform demonstrations and answer questions about their programs.
Activity card must be purchased for $6 to participate in “egg scramble,” crafts, fun zone or bunny balloon soak.Unlimited fun zone wristbands are also available for $6.
Food, beverages, and merchandise will be available for an additional cost.
To avoid lines during the event, activity cards and unlimited fun zone wrist bands can be purchased in advance at city community centers. The cards can be divided among multiple children for activities like the egg scramble and Easter bunny photos. Both can be purchased from March 16 through April 3 at these locations Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.:

Easter Egg Treasure Hunt & Easter Bunny Visit at Carlsbad Premium Outlets®

Saturday, April 4th

Children of all ages are invited to Carlsbad Premium Outlets for the annual center-wide Easter Egg Treasure Hunt from 12:30pm – 1:30pm. Easter eggs will be given out at participating stores (while supplies last).
Children and parents can pick up treasure maps in Center Court the day of the event. Bring your camera for pictures with the Easter Bunny and get creative with arts and crafts in Center Court from 1:00pm – 4:00pm.

City of Encinitas Spring Festival and Egg Hunt

Encinitas Community Park, 425 Santa Fe Drive. 10:00am-1:00pm
The City of Encinitas will present its annual Easter Egg Hunt Festival on Saturday, April 4 2015 at Encinitas Community Park from 10:00am to 1:00pm. This free event features arts and crafts, entertainment, prizes, jump houses, face painting, pictures with the bunny (for a fee), and of course, 24,000 eggs!
Egg hunt times are as follows; 10:15 – 2 years & under, 10:45 – 3 year-olds, 11:15 – 4 & 5 year-olds, 11:45 – 6 & 7 year-olds, 12:15 – 8 & 9 year-olds. Please bring your own basket or bag for eggs. Solana Beach Spring Festival and Egg Hunt

Saturday April 4
La Colonia Park 715 Valley Ave. 10:00 a.m. – 12 noon.
Free Children’s Spring Festival and Egg Hunt. Collect treats, then enjoy games and refreshments. 10:30 a.m. – noon, free and limited to grades 3 and under. Solana Beach annual events include this fun spring festival for parents to bring their children to.

Vista

Saturday April 4
Brengle Terrace Park 9:00 a.m. – 11:30am; Free admission for ages 2-10, Brengle Terrace Park Egg Hunt.

San Marcos

Saturday April 4
Walnut Grove Park 8:00 a.m.; San Marcos Peter Cottontail Breakfast & Holiday Egg Hunt. Pancake Breakfast with Peter Cottontail 8 – 10 a.m. $5 adult; $4 age 10 and under. At 10:15 a.m. when the breakfast service closes shop, toddlers through 5th graders are invited to the community Holiday Egg Hunt. Hidden eggs will reveal great prizes once they are uncovered, captured and opened up. The eggs will be well hidden by the bunny himself! Come early to have your picture taken with Peter Cottontail, create free craft projects, and enjoy carnival games and party jumps. Bring a bag or basket for each child. There is a special prize for every child who hunts. Kids & parents — bring your baskets to gather the eggs.
Children should bring their own egg baskets. Participation in the egg hunts is a suggested $5 donation per family.
