Oceanside CA— Rail service interruptions are scheduled for the weekend of May 2-3 along the coastal rail corridor from Oceanside to San Diego:

• COASTER: There will be no COASTER service Saturday and Sunday.
• Amtrak: Amtrak trains will not operate between Irvine and San Diego including the six select Amtrak ‘Rail 2 Rail’ trains that serve all eight COASTER stations. Amtrak passengers in possession of a valid fare will be granted access to NCTD BREEZE Route 101 at no additional charge. Amtrak will provide bus service for Amtrak-ticketed passengers between San Diego, Solana Beach and Oceanside with connections to Irvine.
• Metrolink: Orange County Line and Inland Empire-Orange County Line trains will only operate to and from San Juan Capistrano on May 2 and 3. There will be no bus service or alternate transportation provided beyond or to San Juan Capistrano.

Customers are urged to plan ahead to take other forms of transit during this service interruption. On May 2-3 there will be no replacement bus service connecting to COASTER station stops. Alternatives for passengers who normally use the COASTER include BREEZE bus route 101 or MTS connections.

During the service disruption, the San Diego Association of Governments (SANDAG) will continue construction on the Sorrento Valley and San Onofre to Pulgas double track projects, and conduct soil testing within the rail right-of-way at the Batiquitos Lagoon and in multiple locations in Solana Beach and Del Mar.
