Students recognized at the event included those who volunteered 50 or 100 hours as part of the Service Learning program, as well as students who volunteered outside of the program.
Two scholarships were also presented at the event, including the $500 Tim Dong Service Scholarship presented to Amanda Chico, who volunteers at Ivey Ranch Park Association’s equestrian program. The other scholarship, The California Coast Credit Union Service Scholarship for $1,000, was presented to veteran Jeffrey Ulrich who volunteers at the VA Hospital and is a regular blood donor to the Red Cross.
