Oceanside CA— This morning, July 23, 2015 at 3:40, Oceanside Police Department responded to a radio call of gun shots in the area of Santa Barbara Street and Bush Street in Oceanside.
Oceanside Police Officers arrived on scene and located three victims in the area. Two of the victims each had a non-life threatening gunshot wound. The third victim was uninjured. The two victims were treated by Oceanside Fire Department personnel and transported to local hospitals for treatment.
It was learned during the investigation that the three victims were walking on the street to a nearby resident when they were confronted by the suspects. After a brief verbal alteration one of the suspects began to shoot at the victims who ran from the area to the location where Oceanside Police Officers contacted them.
Two of the victims are residents of Oceanside and the third victim is a resident of Vista.
The investigation is ongoing and follow up will be conducted by Oceanside Police Department Detectives.
