Man Arrested after Pushing Two Females From Carlsbad Beach Cliff

Carlsbad CA— On July 14 at 00:46 a.m., the City of Carlsbad Police Department received a call from a community member that had been flagged down by two females on Carlsbad Boulevard at Cerezo Drive. The females were requesting medical aid.
Reportedly, the two females, the first a 17-year-old juvenile and the second an 18-year-old adult, were on Carlsbad Boulevard at Cerezo Drive with two adult males. An argument ensued and the two females were pushed from the cliff area by one of the males.
The females fell an estimated 10 -15 feet to the beach below. The adult female sustained undetermined injuries and did not want medical transport. The juvenile female sustained serious but non-life threatening injuries and was transported to Scripts Medical Center in La Jolla.
Alcohol is thought to have played a role in the incident.
Officers contacted Camp Pendleton Provost Marshall and solicited assistance with the incident.
At 3:30 p.m., investigators interviewed and subsequently arrested 20-year-old, Bradley Huston who resides at Camp Pendleton. Huston was arrested for Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Battery causing serious injury and booked into the Vista Detention Facility.
The investigation in ongoing.
