Oceanside CA— During the weekend of June 27-28, 2015 Oceanside Police Officers and their K-9 partners competed in a competition in Bakersfield, Ca. In spite of very hot weather, the teams did very well.
Officer Smith and K9 Nero, Officer Hay and K9 Gonzo and Officer Wilson and K9 Atlas all competed at the Bakersfield Police Department K9 Competition against over 30 other K9 Teams.
All three of the Oceanside Police Department handlers did well bringing home several awards as follows:
Officer Smith/ Nero:

• 1^st Place Article/Evidence Search
• 2^nd Place Protection
• 3^rd Place Building Search
• 4^th Place Obedience

Officer Hay/Gonzo:

• 2^nd Place Overall Novice

Officer Wilson/Atlas:

• 1^st Place Agility/Obstacle Course
• 5^th Place Narcotics – Vehicle Search
• 5^th Place Obedience
• 5^th Place Area Search
