San Diego County CA— The Sheriff’s Department and Crime Stoppers want your help in identifying and locating a suspect wanted for stealing cell phones from stores throughout the county.
Take a good look at the surveillance photos, above, of the suspect and a possible accomplice.
Between June 16, 2015 and July 17, 2015, the suspect entered different cell phone stores and stole phones from display counters.
During some of the incidents, the suspect cut security cords that attached the phones to the counters.
The total loss is about $7,000 to date.
Here’s a list of incidents:

  • On July 17, 2015, the Poway Sheriff’s Station had a case where the suspect entered the T-Mobile store located 13369 Poway Road and stole an iPhone 6 Plus.
  • On July 17, 2015, the North Coastal Sheriff’s Station had a case where the suspect entered the AT&T store located 136 Solana Hills Drive in Solana Beach and took two iPhone 6 phones.
  • On July 15, 2015, the San Diego Police Department’s Eastern Division had a case where the suspect entered the Verizon store located 7035 Clairemont Mesa Blvd and took five cell phones. During this incident, the suspect was seen with a possible accomplice.
  • On June 17, 2015, the San Diego Police Department’s Mid-City Division had a similar case with the same suspect.
  • On June 16, 2015, the Chula Vista Police Department had a similar case with the same suspect.

In one of the thefts, the suspect was observed driving a vehicle described as a red 2012 four-door Toyota Corolla.
The suspect is described as a white man between 20 and 35 years old. He stands between 5’10” and 6’0” tall and weighs between 170 and 180 pounds. In two of the cases, the suspect was wearing a red baseball hat, red shirt, black shorts and tennis shoes.

Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward to anyone with information that leads to an arrest in this case.
