San Diego County CA— On August 25, 2015, San Diego County Sheriff’s Detectives from the San Marcos Station served search warrants on storage unit facilities in Oceanside, San Marcos, and Escondido as part of an investigation into a series of thefts where suspects broke into storage units and stole the contents.
Detectives recovered a lot of stolen property and are currently taking inventory of it in order to identify the owners. Those believed responsible for the thefts are currently in custody on other charges.
Victims of recent thefts from storage units are asked to report them to their local police agency.
