Suspects had personal identifying information of at least 36 different people

Fallbrook CA— Fallbrook Patrol and Crime Suppression Team deputies have arrested two subjects for a string of mail thefts in Fallbrook on August 18, 2015, after catching one of the subjects with their hand in the proverbial cookie jar, or in this case a mailbox.
Fallbrook deputies responded to numerous calls for service throughout the day regarding a suspicious smaller, silver sedan type vehicle taking mail from mailboxes in numerous locations around the greater Fallbrook area. On at least two separate occasions the suspects were able to evade detection by the deputies that responded to the radio calls.
About 4 PM a Fallbrook Crime Suppression Team deputy was driving in the 2400 block of East Mission Road when he observed the suspect vehicle parked in front of numerous mailboxes. The deputy observed a female passenger with her hand out of the passenger side window and inside a mailbox. The deputy quickly turned around and contacted the two subjects in the vehicle. The two subjects were later identified as Katlyn Seibert, a 22-year-old resident of Riverside, and Nathan Bonds, a 28-year-old resident of Riverside.
After initially lying about their names, deputies were able to identify the two subjects, who were subsequently arrested for various charges related to their providing false identity to the deputies.
A later search of the vehicle revealed that Seibert and Bonds had stolen mail from numerous locations in Fallbrook, along with other portions of southern California.
In total, Seibert and Bonds had the personal identifying information of at least 36 different people, with the count still rising at the time of this information. Seibert and Bonds were later booked into the Vista Detention Facility on several counts including 530.5(c)(3) PC – Possession of over ten identities with the intent to defraud.
The investigation is ongoing and being handled by the Fallbrook Crime Suppression Team and Fallbrook Detective Bureau.
