Oceanside CA— Hundreds of friends, teammates, classmates, neighbors and strangers gathered on the Strand, in Oceanside, at noon on Sunday to remember the life of 12-year-old Logan Lipton.
Many in attendance still had a feeling of disbelief that a child so full of life was no longer with them. Logan, a student at Lincoln Middle School, died in an accident, Thursday morning, October 24,2015 after being hit by a truck while he was riding his bike to school.
Hundreds of people watched from shore and dropped flowers into the waves while others paddled out to form a circle in remembrance of Logan who learned to surf at an early age.
Several boards covered with photos of Logan with his family, teammates from his Oceanside Breakers Soccer team and him out on his board lined a driveway leading to a large sign which read “Live for Logan” for well wishers to post their thoughts.
A GoFundMe site has been set up for the family at https://www.gofundme.com/loganlipton.
