UPDATE: The victim in this homicide has been identified as Joseph Prince, a 32 year old male. Mr. Prince’s family has been notified about this incident. A possible suspect in this crime as being described as a White male adult, approximately 30 years old, wearing a red baseball cap, and blue jeans. He was seen riding a black beach cruiser going northbound away from scene

Oceanside CA— Today, November 19, 2015 at 3:45 p.m. Oceanside Police dispatchers received phone calls regarding a traffic collision in the 100 block of Wisconsin Avenue. The collision was believed to be a vehicle versus a pedestrian.
Officers responded to the area of Wisconsin and Meyers. Officers arrived and found a Hispanic male victim (believed to be about 20 years of age) down in the street.
Closer examination revealed the victim had been the victim of a stabbing and was unconscious. OFD arrived and performed life saving measures; however, the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The Investigations Division has been notified and is on scene.
The limited suspect description at this time is a white male adult on a black beach cruiser riding northbound away from scene.
