Oceanside CA— This afternoon, January 29, 2016 at 2:52pm, the Oceanside Fire Department responded to a structure fire at 1901 Raymond Lane.
A resident of the home heard a window break and went outside to find fire showing from a second story window at the rear of the home. The first unit on scene found a two-story home with smoke showing from the front of the home.
The first crew inside the home found heavy smoke to the floor of the second story with zero visibility. Crews on scene performed search, rescue, fire control and vertical ventilation. The fire was contained to the living room but the remainder of the second floor suffered smoke damage.
Three adults and two dogs were displaced by the fire and Red Cross was called to assist with housing.
The fire caused $100,000 damage to the structure and contents. This fire is still under investigation.
