Oceanside CA— Last night, January 1st, 2016 at approximately 8:40 pm Oceanside Police Officers responded to a radio call of man down in the street in the 2100 block of S. Coast Highway.
Upon arrival, Officers found a White male adult, approximately 40-years-old, on the ground with injuries to his face and the back of his head.
Paramedics arrived on scene to provide medical aid and subsequently transported the subject to a local area hospital. Shortly after arriving at the hospital, the subject was pronounced dead by hospital staff.
Detectives from the Oceanside Police Department were called out to begin conducting a death investigation.
At this point in time, the cause of the subject’s death is undetermined.
