Inaugural Youth Success Week to Take Place Jan. 10 to 17

Oceanside CA— Students are standing up for their own success at the nation’s first Youth Success Week. Show your support along with celebrity Stedman Graham, world-class business leaders, Oceanside Unified School District Superintendent Dr. Duane Coleman and Oceanside’s community of excellence at the free Opening Ceremony Celebration on January 10.
The celebration will be the most sensational production of the year. Hear from engaging facilitators passionate about ensuring Oceanside youth succeed, as well as students discussing “What is Success” and performing an original 8 Keys of Excellence rap. The Kick-off Celebration will also highlight Youth Success Week events and how the entire Oceanside community is involved in this historic movement. Festivities will be held from 1:30 to 4 p.m. at the QLN Conference Center located at 1938 Avenida Del Oro in Oceanside.
Youth Success Week will feature visionary educators, community leaders, professional experts, youth-serving organizations, entertainers, parents, and students in an unprecedented demonstration of how a community can come together and put its children first. Over 30 local and national presenters will deliver various workshops and presentations to students in OUSD schools and to various community organizations and business leaders.
The week is designed to engage and catalyze our entire community on matters related to the success and well-being of our youth. The 8-day event will focus around building community, identity, leadership, and the 8 Keys of Excellence. Youth Success Week is sponsored by the Community Alliance for Youth Success (CAYS), co-founded by Stedman Graham and Bobbi DePorter, in alliance with the Oceanside Unified School District and the Oceanside Promise.
