UPDATE: Oceanside detectives and officers followed up on the report of the earlier kidnapping. The suspects and victim were located at the Motel 6 on Raintree in Carlsbad. Both of the suspects and the victim told the investigators the incident was a misunderstanding.
Oceanside CA— Tonight, Friday February 4, 2016, at 8:29 P.M. the Oceanside Police Department dispatchers received a call regarding a possible kidnapping from the Motel 6 in the 900 block of N. Coast Highway.
The reporting party was the boyfriend of the victim. He reported that his girlfriend was forced into a vehicle, a Chevrolet Spark, and a second person in the vehicle was armed with a handgun.
Officers and detectives are currently working the incident as leads are developing.
