Oceanside CA— The San Diego County Corners Office has identified the person found dead, at the Oceanside Harbor, on Sunday as 18 year-old Anthony Congthanh Nguyen of Vista.
At 9:30 am, Sunday March 27, 2016, a passerby was jogging along the north jetty, at the Oceanside Harbor, when she saw a body in the water.
9-1-1 was called and police responded to the location along with fire personnel. Boat patrol officers pulled the decedent out of the water onto their boat.
His death was confirmed due to rigidity in the extremities.
“At this time, the cause of death doesn’t appear suspicious.” said Oceanside Police Sergeant, Josh Morris, on Sunday, while awaiting the arrival of the County Coroner at the harbor.
No further details have been released.
