Oceanside CA— On March 23, 2016, the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department put out an alert for help finding a missing 80-year-old male from Encinitas.
Gerard A.Kelly, who had been missing from his Encinitas home since mid February, has been found safe at an Oceanside hospital.
On Thursday, March 24, a Sheriff’s Detective resumed making calls to local hospitals to check for any sign of Kelly. Tri-City Medical Center in Oceanside confirmed to the detective they had a patient matching Kelly’s description.
Tri-City Medical Center says Kelly was admitted on February 15th under a different name. He is being treated for an undisclosed medical condition.
The Sheriff’s Department thanks the public for their cooperation and assistance with this case.
