Ray Rivas Promoted to Acting CFO of Tri-City Medical Center

Oceanside CA— Ray Rivas has been promoted internally to the role of Acting Chief Financial Officer (CFO). The CFO role became vacant when former CFO Steve Dietlin was appointed as Tri-City Medical Center’s CEO.
“Ray brings the experience and insight needed to maintain and oversee Tri-City Medical Center’s financial operations,” said Steve Dietlin, CEO.
With a finance background that includes over 25 years in the healthcare sector, Rivas has a proven track record of improving profitability and streamlining processes. He has spent the last four years as Tri-City Medical Center’s Senior Director of Revenue Cycle Integrity where he successfully led initiatives to improve cash collections and reduce patient registration waiting times. He was also an integral part of the team responsible for securing a $25 million line of credit for the hospital.
Rivas has held CFO roles at Suburban Medical Center in Paramount, Western Medical Center in Anaheim and Chapman Medical Center in Orange, Calif. He has an MBA from Pepperdine University and is registered as a Certified Public Accountant with the State of California.
