Oceanside CA— Early this morning, June 22, 2016 at approximately midnight, Oceanside Police Officers responded to a call of a possible stabbing in the 1500 block of Lemon St.
Officers arrived on scene and located a 22-year-old Hispanic male on the ground with a stab wound. The victim was going in and out of consciousness and officers provided immediate first aid.
Paramedics arrived on scene and the victim was flown by air ambulance to Scripps La Jolla where the he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.
Detectives from the Crimes of Violence unit are currently on scene investigating and nobody has been arrested at this point in the investigation.
There are reports of a possible disturbance prior to the assault and detectives are asking anyone with information to call the Oceanside Police Department at (760) 435-4911.
