Updated: The Medical Examiner’s Office has completed the autopsy regarding this incident. The decedent has been identified as North County resident Yvonne Marie Paquette, age 47. The cause and manner of death are pending toxicology results. There were no signs of obvious trauma to Paquette.

Encinitas CA— Deputies from the North Coastal Patrol Station responded to a call, shortly after 2:00am, June 27, 2016, to assist the fire department with a possible medical aid at 1475 Spanish Bay Court in the city of Encinitas.
When deputies arrived, fire department personnel were on scene performing life saving measures on an unidentified female adult, approximately 47 years-old.
Ultimately those measures failed and the female was pronounced deceased at the house. During the initial investigation it was determined the circumstances surrounding the death warranted a response from the Sheriff’s Homicide Detail.
Detectives from the Homicide Detail as well as the North Coastal Patrol Station are now conducting the follow-up investigation.
The San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office will be conducting an autopsy and will determine the cause and manner of death as well as provide a positive identification of the victim.
