Oceanside CA— SANDAG’s current Platform Improvement Project at the Oceanside Transit Center will improve the efficiency of transit operations by adding a third track, boarding platform, station lighting, seating and signs. The project is a key part of the larger effort to improve and modernize rail infrastructure along LOSSAN coastal rail corridor.
Nighttime work is planned for Thursday, July 21, and Friday, July 22, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. to construct a temporary vehicle crossing over the SPRINTER rail line near the Minnesota Avenue cul-de-sac. Nearby residents can expect noise and lights during this work. Once the crossing is complete, crews will be accessing the work area from Minnesota Avenue for the duration of the project.
Other daytime activities for the next two weeks will include receiving and staging equipment and materials, and preparing for the installation of new platform light poles. This work will take place Monday through Friday, between the hours of 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. Work schedules are subject to change.
SANDAG crews will minimize noise and other impacts to the greatest extent possible.
