Carlsbad CA— This afternoon, August 9, at 12:39 p.m., the City of Carlsbad Police Department received a report of a traffic collision involving a pickup truck and a pedestrian in the intersection of Washington St. and Carlsbad Village Dr.
Officers responded to the scene and found that a 2005 Toyota Tundra driven by a 35-year-old male had collided with a 70-year old female pedestrian from Carlsbad. The City of Carlsbad Fire Department personnel responded to the scene, accessed the pedestrian’s injuries and transported her via helicopter to Scripps La Jolla for treatment.
A preliminary investigation has revealed that neither alcohol/drug intoxication nor distracted driving are a factor in this case.
