Carlsbad CA— This morning, Sunday, September 18 at 11:23 am the City of Carlsbad Police Department received a 9-1-1 call regarding a traffic collision that occurred at the 7/11 store at 901 Palomar Airport Road.
After speaking to witnesses, officers determined that a vehicle pulling into a marked parking space had accelerated up and over a curb and struck a 43 year-old female who was seated on a block wall in front of the store. The injured party was transported to the hospital by the Carlsbad Fire Department with serious injuries to both legs.
The driver is identified as a 34 year-old female from Los Angeles. At this time, intoxication is not believed to have played a role in the collision.
