Encinitas CA— Be aware of increased law enforcement activity, a Deputy involved shooting, in the 1500 block of North Coast Highway 101 and Leucadia Boulevard in Encinitas.
North Coast Highway 101 is closed between La Costa Avenue and Jupiter Street. Expect heavy traffic in the area. Southbound Carlsbad Blvd is closed at La Costa Ave due to the incident in Encinitas, please choose an alternate route.
The North County Transit District says COASTER service is also affected between Poinsettia Lane and Encinitas Boulevard. Expect delays of up to two hours. Passengers are being bussed between the Poinsettia Sation in Carlsbad and the Encinitas Station. It is unclear on how long the delays will affect train and bus service.
