Encinitas Burglary and Identity Theft Suspect

Encinitas CA— San Diego County Crime Stoppers and investigators from the North Coastal Sheriff’s Station are asking for the public’s help to locate an unknown suspect wanted in connection with a burglary and identity theft that occurred in Encinitas.
On October 3, 2016, at about 7:30 a.m. an unknown suspect broke into a Hyundai Elantra that was parked at the Encinitas Ranch Town Center, located 1068 N. El Camino Real in Encinitas. The suspect stole a purse, from inside the vehicle, containing the victim’s social security card, driver license, and credit card. The suspect used the stolen credit card to make several purchases at the Shell gas station, located, 865 Orpheus Avenue. The credit card was eventually declined and the suspect fled in a van with two females.

The suspect is described as a White male, between 25-30-years-old, standing 5’8” tall and weighing about 145 lbs. He has blond hair and was wearing a black baseball-style cap with “Hard Luck” in white letters, a black t-shirt with three words outlined in red, two of the words were “built” and “for”. He had white plaid shorts and black flip flops. The suspect has a large intricate tattoo on his lower left arm.
The female suspects were only described as being White.
