Oceanside CA— Early this morning, Saturday, February 4, 2017 at 1:45 AM, officers of the Oceanside Police Department responded to a serious injury collision on Pacific St. near Breakwater Way. On arrival, officers located a motorcycle that had failed to negotiate a turn just north of the intersection.

The 2003 Harley Davidson motorcycle was travelling north on Pacific St. with the rider and a passenger. The motorcycle hit a curb, ejecting both riders. The rider, 46-year-old male, and his passenger, 39-year-old female, both sustained serious injuries and were transported via ambulance to a local trauma center. At this time both are expected to survive their injuries.
Alcohol and speed are factors in this collision.
