Oceanside CA— On April 18th at 8:50 AM, Oceanside Police dispatch received a call of a subject not breathing in the 300 block of S. Myer’s St. When officers arrived at the apartment, they discovered one of the residents, a white male adult, identified as Donald Ross, DOB May 4, 1943, deceased on the floor of his bedroom.

Crimes of Violence Detectives conducted an investigation and determined the death to be a homicide.
On May 1st, detectives subsequently arrested Ian Dewey Spencer, DOB October 07,1995, a local transient male, who often spent the night at Ross’ apartment.
Detectives booked Spencer and charged him with the murder of Donald Ross.
