Oceanside CA— Last night, Sunday June 25, 2017 just before 9:00pm, deputies from the North Coastal Sheriff’s Transit Enforcement Unit responded to a Coaster Train vs. pedestrian collision. The collision occurred on the railroad track near Harbor Drive and Carmelo Drive, in the City of Oceanside.
A northbound Coaster train was traveling at approximately 50 miles per hour when an adult male was observed running northbound along the tracks. The male failed to yield to the train and was believed to have been struck.
Upon arriving on scene responders were unable to locate the unknown male. A search of the area was conducted, but had a negative result for a victim.
