Vista CA— Early this morning, July 11, 2017 at about 1:56 am.,  Vista deputies responded to reports of shots fired at the Pepperwood apartment complex located in the 2100 block of University Drive .

An upstairs apartment unit had been peppered with multiple handgun rounds. Several vehicles in the parking lot were also hit. An apparent altercation occurred between the residents of the apartment unit and at least one other person. All parties fled the scene prior to deputies’ arrival.
There were no known injuries. Detectives were called to the scene and are assisting with the investigation.
