Vista CA— Just before 5:30am today, July 12, 2017, deputies from the Sheriff’s Vista Station received a 9-1-1 call regarding an unresponsive person lying along the side of the road in the 29000 block of Twin Oaks Valley Road in unincorporated Vista.

When deputies arrived on scene, they found the victim deceased with signs of obvious trauma to their body. The victim is an African-American male approximately 25 years of age. Detectives with the Sheriff’s Homicide Detail responded and assumed investigative responsibility.
The San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office will conduct an autopsy in order to determine the cause and manner of death as well as the victim’s identity.
