Stolen Vehicle is a Gold Honda Pilot-CA Lic. #97VHB79

Carlsbad CA— Last night, October 27, 2017 at 8:37 p.m., the City of Carlsbad Police Department was called to the area of Estrella De Mar and Alga Road. The caller, a 22-year-old male, reported that he had his vehicle stolen from him by an unknown suspect. The victim was unable to describe the suspect.

Officers responded to the area and located the victim. Investigating officers found that the victim had his vehicle forcibly taken from him as he started to enter his vehicle.
The victim stated that he had unlocked his vehicle at the time of the contact and an unknown male put a blunt object to the back of victim’s head while demanding the victim’s keys. The victim gave the suspect the keys to the vehicle and the suspect fled the scene.
The victim sustained no injuries from the incident. The vehicle taken is described as a gold Honda Pilot with a California license plate #97VHB79.
Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect and vehicle.
A search for the suspect and vehicle and an investigation into why the vehicle was taken is ongoing.
