Carlsbad CA— A 34-year-old San Marcos woman succumbs to injuries sustained in a collision Friday evening in Carlsbad. The woman was a passenger on a 2017 Harley Davidson which collided with another vehicle on Rancho Santa Fe Road, north of Camino De Los Coches.
Just after 6:30pm, Carlsbad Police Officers and Fire Department personnel responded to the scene and upon arrival, Officers found a 2017 Harley Davidson Motorcycle, with extensive damage, resting on its side directly behind a dark colored sedan.
As the Officers approached the motorcycle, they found a male driver on the ground. Officers also located a female passenger that had been ejected from the motorcycle a short distance away. Carlsbad Fire Department arrived and provided advanced life support to the female passenger of the motorcycle. Carlsbad Fire Department transported both riders to an area hospital where the female passenger succumbed to injuries as a result of the collision.
The two people on the motorcycle have not been identified at this time and the condition of the male drive has not been released.
Carlsbad Traffic Officers responded to the scene to conduct a full investigation.
