One teen sustained life threatening injuries

Oceanside CA— Early this morning, October 21, 2017 at approximately 1:18 am, Oceanside Police Officers responded to a radio call of a stabbing incident in the 400 block of San Luis Rey Drive. When Officers arrived on scene, they located 3 subjects who sustained varying injuries after being stabbed by what was described as being another male subject.

OPD Officers and OFD Paramedics rendered medical aid to all 3 victims. All 3 victims were subsequently transported local area hospitals for further treatment. Two victims were 17-year-old males and the third victim was an 18-year-old male.
The adult male and one of the 17-year-old males sustained minor injuries and were treated and released at a local area hospital. The other 17-year-old male sustained life threatening injuries and is considered to be in critical condition.
The victims in this case have been identified, family members have been notified, but their names are not being released at this time.
Detectives from the Oceanside Police Investigations Division responded to the scene early this morning and are currently conducting a follow-up investigation.  Due to the fact that this is an active investigation no further details are being released at this time.
