Update 8:02am The areas affected by the Lilac fire and the roads leading to them will remain close today: Per CalFire: Firefighters continue to make progress & assess damage. The fire remains 4,100 acres & 0% contained. At least 65 structures have been destroyed.
Oceanside CA— There is now a MANDATORY evacuation in effect for areas in Oceanside. The RED area in the attached map is a MANDATORY evacuation area. A shelter is being opened at Oceanside High School. All OUSD, Carlsbad Schools Palomar College add MiraCosta College will be closed on Friday
