Citywide Celebration Welcomes Couples, Friends and Families with a Ferris Wheel at the Pier, Horse-Drawn Carriage Rides, Movie at the Pier, Couple’s Tango Lessons, Hotel Specials and More
Oceanside CA— Oceanside, California will again celebrate all things love during its third annual Oceanside Valentine’s Week, February 8-14, 2018. This year’s celebration includes romantic Ferris wheel rides with ocean views, as well as coastal carriage rides, scenic harbor cruises and more.

New for Oceanside Valentine’s Week 2018 is a Ferris wheel at the beach. Located near Oceanside Pier, riders will be treated to spectacular coastline views as they enjoy the romantic pastime. Along with fun on the Ferris wheel, visitors once again can delight in horse and carriage rides along the beach strand. Both activities are $5 per person and will be offered Feb. 10 and 11 at Oceanside Pier, North.
Other activities scheduled for Feb. 10 include a festive Valentine Family Bike Ride along San Luis Rey River Bike Trail, an evening showing of “Beauty and the Beast” at the Junior Seau Pier Amphitheater, a wine tasting harbor cruise with Oceanside Adventures featuring Oceanside’s award-winning Beach House Winery and an Argentine Tango evening at the Oceanside Museum of Art with a happy hour, tango demonstrations and lessons for beginners.
The celebration week also features a sweetheart-themed Sunset Market in downtown on Feb. 8, a Valentine’s-themed “walkabout” in South Oceanside’s boutique business district on Feb. 13 and specials on sunset whale watching with Oceanside Adventures including a Valentine’s Day coastal cruise.
Oceanside hotels are offering themed packages and discounts to make planning a getaway easy during the Valentine’s Week celebration. SpringHill Suites Marriott Oceanside’s That Loving Feeling Package includes a stay in a large suite, bottle of wine, and chocolates. Holiday Inn Oceanside Marina’s Touch of Romance Package starts at $179 and includes sparkling wine, chocolate strawberries, breakfast and a late check out. Visitors can also find special savings between 10 and 15 percent at Wyndham Oceanside Pier Resort and Southern California Beach Club.
