Valley Center CA— Early this morning, just after 12:45am, March 18, 2018, Valley Center Sheriff Deputies located a Honda Accord which was reported stolen out of the city of Escondido.
Deputies initiated a pursuit where ASTREA was above. Due to the speeds and weather conditions Deputies chose to terminate the pursuit and have ASTREA follow the vehicle. Shortly after discontinuing the pursuit, the stolen vehicle drove into oncoming traffic, crashing head on with a small compact vehicle.

The suspect vehicle was occupied by three males. The driver and passenger were pronounced deceased at the scene. The third suspect was transported to the hospital for trauma type injuries.
The victim in the other vehicle sustained injuries and was transported to Palomar hospital for treatment.
CHP is handing the investigation.
