Oceanside CA— Early this morning, Saturday July 21, 2018 at about 12:30 am, Oceanside Police Detectives arrested 25-year-old Eduardo Arriola for the fatal shooting of 24-year-old Oceanside resident, Devon Rideout.
Rideout was employed as  a Corpsman in the US Navy aboard Camp Pendleton.
Both individuals reside in the same apartment complex at 550 Los Arbolitos but there is no connection between the two.

On Friday July 20, 2018 at 3:54 pm, the Oceanside Police Department responded to reports of a gunshot victim at the apartment complex.  Upon officer’s arrival, a female victim, later identified as Devon Rideout, was located with gunshot wounds.
Paramedics arrived and provided treatment but the victim succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
At this time there is no known motive for the shooting and detectives continue their investigation.
