Vista CA— Just before 9:00pm, July 19, 2018, Vista Traffic deputies were dispatched to a vehicle collision involving a pedestrian in the 1400 block of E. Vista Way in the City of Vista.
A 31-year-old female pedestrian was involved in the collision along with a 2006 Toyota Prius being driven be a 55-year-old female driver.  The driver of the Toyota remained at the scene during the investigation.

The female pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene. Her identity has been withheld pending notification of her next of kin.
The driver of the Toyota was not injured in the collision.
The investigation and cause of the collision are still under investigation. Alcohol and/or drugs are not believed to be a factor in the collision.
The Vista Traffic Division is conducting the investigation. Anyone who may have witnessed the collision is asked to please contact Deputy Jehl at the Vista Sheriff’s Station.
