Suspects Flee in Stolen Vehicle-2017 Toyota Corolla, CA Lic# 7VPV398

Carlsbad CA— Late this morning, July 9, at 10:06 a.m., the City of Carlsbad Police Department was called to the Motel 6 located in the 6100 block of Paseo del Norte regarding a Robbery.
The victims reported to the officers two suspects, one male and one female, entered the motel lobby and demanded a free room. The male suspect showed the clerk a silver hand gun and demanded cash. The suspect hit the female clerk on the head with the hand gun. The suspect discharged the firearm during the confrontation.
The clerk was taken to a local hospital to be treated for her injuries.
The male took the clerk’s car keys and, with the female suspect, fled the motel and stole an unoccupied 2017 white Toyota Corolla with the California license plate 7VPV398.
The Police Department is actively searching for the suspects. The male suspect is described as a black male adult, 25-35. 5’10”-6’02”, 180 lbs., short hair and wearing a blue Los Angeles Dodgers shirt, denim jeans and black shoes.
The female suspect is described as a black female adult, 25-30 years, thin build, dark hair and wearing a blue jean jacket and colorful scarf.
