San Diego CA— Former Oceanside City Council Member Colleen O’Harra was named one of five to the San Diego County Women’s Hall of Fame in the eighth annual induction ceremony last weekend.
The honor was presented to O’Harra by the Commission on the Status of Women and Girls, the Women’s Museum of California, San Diego State University Women’s Studies Department and the UC San Diego Women’s Center.
O’Harra is one of the founders of the Oceanside Women’s Resource Center and is formerly an executive director of that organization. She was a three-term Oceanside council member and remains active in community activities.
Other women recognized in the ceremony were Lilia E. Garcia, Dr. Dorothy I.W. Smth, Bridget J. Wilson, and Ruth Goldschmiedova Sax
