Oceanside CA— Early this morning, March 16, 2019 just before 2:00am, the Oceanside Police Department responded to calls of a collision involving a single motorcycle. Officers and Paramedics arrived to find a 58-year-old male, who been ejected from the motorcycle, on the ground with severe trauma.
Life saving measures were performed, however the male was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Based on the physical evidence at the scene, it appears the motorcycle lost control while traveling northbound on El Camino Real and the rider was ejected just prior to Camino Town.
At this time it is unknown if alcohol is was a factor in this collision.
The investigation is ongoing and the identity of the motorcyclist has not been released at this time.
The Oceanside Police Department’s Major Accident Investigation Team conducted the investigation. Anyone with information regarding this collision is asked to call Accident Investigator A. Guerra at (760) 435-4498 .
