Oceanside CA— The victim recovered from the sea near the Oceanside Pier on Monday has been identified as 20 year-old, Paul Jesus Ventura of Escondido.
Ventura accidentally fell from the Oceanside Pier in the early morning hours of May 25, 2019. Despite efforts by responders, the decedent submerged below the water and was unable to be located.
On the afternoon June 3, 2019, lifeguards observed the decedent floating in the ocean near the Oceanside Pier. Lifeguards retrieved the decedent from the water and brought him to the shore. Death was confirmed, without medical intervention.
