Public and Private Industry Experts Share Insights on Strategies to Develop a Bold New Transportation Vision

San Diego County CA— SANDAG is hosting a series of 45-minute webinars to discuss the 5 Big Moves. These strategies set the framework for a bold new transportation vision for San Diego Forward: The 2021 Regional Plan, which will enhance connectivity, increase safety and sustainability, and improve quality of life in the San Diego region.
The 2021 Regional Plan will synchronize the 5 Big Moves – Complete Corridors, Transit Leap, Mobility Hubs, Flexible Fleets, and Next OS – to deliver an integrated, world class transportation system.
The next webinar will focus on Mobility Hubs and will take place on Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at 12 p.m. PDT.
The Mobility Hubs webinar will explore how places of connectivity where different modes of travel – walking, biking, transit, and shared mobility – seamlessly converge to provide connections to regional transit services and support short trips within communities and beyond.
Mobility Hubs are best suited near high-frequency transit and where there is a concentration of employment, housing, shopping, and/or recreation. They provide an integrated suite of services, amenities, and technologies to help travelers find, use, and/or pay for a wide range of travel options.
Industry expert guest speakers will discuss how private and public sectors across the nation are designing Mobility Hubs for today and the future to improve the movement of people and goods.
Mobility Hub webinar guest speakers include:

• Dylan Jones, AIA, Senior Associate, Gensler Mobility Lab
• Kate Wagoner, Director of Urban Mobility, Passport

With more than 20 years of experience providing planning and design services, Dylan works at the intersection of private development and public infrastructure. Dylan currently leads Gensler’s Mobility Lab and previously led the preparation of LA Metro’s First/Last Mile Plan.
Kate leads the development of Curbside Management Products and oversees public-private partnerships in the Urban Mobility sector. Previously, Kate worked on General Motors’ Autonomous Vehicle product strategy, and Micromobility and Shared Mobility models.
