Encinitas CA—— On Tuesday, October 8, 2019, the Sheriff’s Department received a call from a citizen in the 1200 block of Summit Ave., about a foul odor they could smell in the area. Deputies responded and checked the area and noticed the smell. They conducted an investigation and obtained a warrant to search a residence on that street. Detectives from the North Coastal Station served the warrant. They checked the main residence and a smaller structure located to the rear of the main residence. Inside the smaller structure, they found the body of a female adult who has been identified as forty-three-year-old Sabrina Lukosky from Encinitas.
Today, October 11, 2019, the victim’s boyfriend, Henry Simon Cowen, 41-years-old was arrested by the US Marshall Fugitive Task Force in the city of Riverside, after the facts revealed during the investigation pointed the Encinitas man as the suspect.
Cowen was arrested without incident and was transported and booked into the Vista Detention Facility on a single count of murder. He is being held without bail.
